This is around 13 times the amount of gas Australia uses each year. The Ichthys Field contains resource estimates of more than 12 trillion cubic feet of gas. This multi-billion dollar project will be ranked among the largest gas processing developments in the world. It is being steered forward by the Ichthys Joint Venture of INPEX of Japan and Total of France.
The Ichthys LNG Project is a world-class project to develop the gas and condensate field discovered by INPEX in the Browse Basin approximately 220 kilometres off the northwest coast of Western Australia.
